Josh is an experienced senior executive, having co-founded healthcare enterprises and presided over several large organizations. Prior to Hazel, he co-founded DaVita Rx, where he was President from $50M to $1B+ of revenue, and served as CEO of direct primary care startup Everside Health (formerly Paladina Health).

He has proven success in developing forward-thinking healthcare organizations while delivering exceptional clinical and financial results. Josh is an early AmeriCorps alumnus, and holds both a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Jeannie has over two decades of executive-level healthcare strategy experience in both delivery and clinical quality capacities. Prior to Hazel, she served as Chief Strategy and People Officer at InnerChange, and was a Divisional Director at DaVita. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.

James Cleveland is an experienced senior executive, having served at Landed, Guild Education, Entangled Ventures, Reading Partners, College Track, Aspire Public Schools, and the Stupski Foundation. With a career spanning over 25 years, James is an expert in operational strategy and talent development in education organizations with a national focus. James co-founded InsideTrack, a nationally recognized Student Success company, and played a crucial role in the significant expansion of Jumpstart, a national organization dedicated to pre-K literacy.

Dr. Rob has over 13 years of experience as an ER doctor and Pediatric Emergency Director. While training during his emergency medicine residency, he discovered his calling to treat patients who had the least access to care. After building the pediatric emergency department at Renown Regional Medical Center, he co-founded Hazel with the goal to leverage technology to provide greater access to care for children. He attended the University of California at Berkeley and obtained his medical degree at New York Medical College.

Dr. Travis previously served as the Health Officer and Chief of Public Health Services for Montgomery County, Maryland, where he oversaw the county health system, including the county's school based health program. He brings significant pediatric clinical experience to Hazel, and has been a published researcher on topics such as the impact of exposure to bullying and interpersonal violence on adolescent risk-taking behavior. Dr. Travis is a faculty member at NYU and the co-chair of the CDC/HRSA Advisory Committee on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STD Prevention and Treatment (CHACHSPT). He holds a BA from Duke University and an MD/PhD from University of Illinois.

Cheryl has served in many financial leadership roles over her 30+ year career. Most recently she served as CFO for Perceptyx, and prior to that as CFO for Healthline.com, the leading healthcare information platform where she led the sale of Healthline.com twice as well as several acquisitions for the company. She obtained her B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa and her CPA in California.

Zach Novak is a versatile executive specializing in the strategy, vision, and execution of product development. Before joining Hazel Health, Zach served as the CPO of Audacious Inquiry, where he directed the product and design efforts for 3 interoperability product lines serving health systems, HIEs, ACOs, and health plan customers across the US.  Zach holds a BSE in biomedical engineering from Duke University and an MBA and MS in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

A lifelong educator, Andrew has served as the Chief Innovation Officer of Invo Health, the President of Catapult Academy, an Assistant Superintendent in Duval County Public Schools, a school site administrator in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and a classroom teacher. He also founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit which infuses literacy and sports to increase students’ chances at becoming high school graduates. Andrew holds an M.S. in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a B.A. in political science and secondary education from the University of Miami.

Nick has over 30 years of experience developing, innovating, and managing a diverse set of products and teams as a software leader, engineer, and entrepreneur. He co-founded Hazel Health with the goal of increasing healthcare access for children and families, and oversees the organization’s technology direction, product architecture, hiring, and development of a comprehensive, end-to-end, custom virtual healthcare model. Nick received his undergraduate degree in computer engineering from Santa Clara University, where he graduated first in his class.

Faye Leong is a seasoned go-to-market strategist dedicated to bringing innovative care models to market — particularly those catering to populations the U.S. healthcare system has historically sidelined. Prior to Hazel, Faye led consumer and commercial growth strategy from multiple vantage points in the healthcare system. She led growth marketing at ACA insurer Oscar Health as they scaled from serving 9 to 30+ markets and commercial growth strategy at women’s health provider Tia Clinic as it evolved from a brick-and-mortar gynecologist with one clinic to a full medical home model delivering virtual and in-person care to thousands of women across the country. She believes deeply that technology can enable, but never replace, human-centered healthcare. Faye holds a B.A. in Psychology from McGill University in Montreal.

Ben Mehling is a product and engineering leader with 20 years of experience building software teams and products for healthcare. Throughout his career, Ben has primarily worked in start-up environments across various company stages. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Crossover Health. Ben possesses extensive subject matter expertise in a range of areas, including acute care Electronic Health Records (EHR) and solutions for hospital departments, outpatient practice management and EHRs, scalable cloud-native medical imaging, local, state, and regional health information exchanges, 3D-sensor powered digital therapeutics, and solutions for interdisciplinary care.

Justin is a seasoned technology leader passionate about using technology to improve healthcare delivery.  He has over two decades of experience building high-performing teams. Most recently, he led engineering teams at Optum, working to improve accessibility, delivery, and coordination of behavioral health care; previously, he was the Director of Engineering for Genoa Telepsychiatry, focused on expanding access to mental health care.  Justin holds a BA in Economics and a BS in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Paris is a dedicated behavioral health care professional with over a decade of experience serving youth. Most recently she served as the Vice President of Invo Healthcare’s IMPACT Program, a unique wrap-around program designed with schools to address childhood trauma. Under her leadership, her team of licensed mental health professionals focused on the underlying emotional, physiological, and behavioral needs of the student while teaching functional alternative pro-social and pro-academic behaviors.

Silver has been in the education industry for over 20 years, most recently as the GM of LEGO Education, North America and serving on the global leadership team. Silver has been with multiple successful startups including Schoolnet as SVP of Solution Sales (acquired by Pearson) and Razorfish. Silver has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Whitney has over 15 years of experience in hospital and pharmacy settings serving patients with chronic health conditions. Her experience includes leading IT business management, quality and process improvement, change management, and customer retention teams. She’s a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and holds a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Michelle has spent the last 15 years developing scalable solutions to bring healthcare to where it is needed most. Prior to Hazel, she was the Executive Director of The Addis Clinic, an organization that connects physician volunteers with frontline health workers through telemedicine technology. She was previously the Development Director of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a growth consultant for multiple nonprofits. She holds an M.S. in Health Science and a B.S. in Child Psychology.

Lorrayne is a committed and passionate health care leader, with over 15 years of industry experience across various aspects of health care delivery. Most recently, she helped to launch and grow the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, where she held a number of leadership positions in clinical operations, strategy and business development. She also has experience supporting operational improvement efforts at UCSF Medical Center, leading global health initiatives in Tanzania and Geneva, and in management consulting. Lorrayne obtained her undergraduate degree from Harvard College, and holds a joint MBA and MPP from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School.

Isaiah is passionate about solving problems to systematically improve healthcare access. Prior to Hazel, Isaiah worked at Bain & Company as a management consultant advising Fortune 500 companies and institutional investors on executive-level decisions. He also advised healthcare organizations like Oak Street Health and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago on strategic issues. Isaiah graduated from the University of Wisconsin with comprehensive honors.

Aria has a decade+ track record of creating and leading client-supporting teams across the provider, payer, and digital health spaces. Prior to Hazel, Aria led Customer Operations at PatientPing from the early stage to its acquisition by Appriss Health (now Bamboo Health). Before her venture into health tech, Aria consulted large healthcare systems on enterprise clinical transformations addressing inpatient flow, post-acute network design, and population health. Aria is a Kaiser Permanente alumna and a certified change management facilitator. She holds a B.S. in Health Sciences from Howard University and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

As an educator, professor, author, and presenter, Jodi Dodds Kinner has a broad background in education. Prior to Hazel, Jodi worked at EveryDay Labs, where she successfully forged strategic partnerships with school districts across the country as the Vice President of Sales and District Partnerships. Formerly Vice President of National Literacy Initiatives for Scholastic Education and Director of Literacy for Chicago Public Schools, Jodi is committed to improving student achievement by addressing chronic absenteeism and inequitable access to healthcare. She has served as an advisor to the Aspen Institute on Urban Literacy Leadership, as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Illinois: Chicago, as an instructor at Kent State University, and as a research team member and elementary classroom teacher for Iowa City Community School District.
