The 2021-2022 school year was one of growth, partnership, change, and creativity. Hazel is proud to partner with 3,000+ schools to help students access both physical and mental health care more equitably through school-based telehealth.

This report highlights Hazel's impact over the past year across four key areas:

  1. School attendance and learning - helping students feel their best so they come to school ready to learn and thrive, saving 44K hours of instructional time
  2. Health equity and Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) - addressing the social and environmental context surrounding a child's health to reduce health inequities, such as helping hundreds of students connect with a primary care provider (PCP) for regular care
  3. Mental health services- supporting students to improve long-term academic and health outcomes by providing virtual therapy to thousands of students, rooted in culturally responsive care
  4. Physical health services - addressing health concerns to improve long-term academic and health outcomes, helping 28% of families avoid costly trips to the emergency room or an urgent care center
